Risico’s leadership team is a diverse collective of industry leaders and influencers with rich backgrounds in developing and implementing highly effective workers’ compensation programs and strategies.

Erik Van Beurden has worked in the insurance industry since 1991, spending 31 of those years on the retail agency side before taking over as the Division President of Risico in March of 2024. He has served in a number of roles during his career, including commercial package underwriting, broker/intern at Lloyd’s of London, commercial insurance sales, workers comp underwriting, and CEO of a large regional retail agency. His wide breadth of experience in insurance gives him valuable insight into leading the various operations of Risico, whether it be claims, nurse case management, or underwriting. With AmTrust Financial Services resources and partnership, he looks forward to expanding Risico’s presence from one of the leading Agricultural work comp programs in California to one of the best in most regions of the United States.
